The Associate of Science in Education is designed to offer students the coursework needed to pursue a career in education. The program explores the concepts of teaching and learning, including pedagogy, and some of the challenges facing education today, including legal decisions and addressing the needs of a variety of learners.  In addition to the core curriculum, Education students take Speech and several introductory education courses.

Career Paths

Once students complete the Associate of Science in Education program at Andrew, he/she must complete an education program at a senior college in order to be eligible for certification as a teacher. An associate’s degree meets the educational qualification to work as a public school paraprofessional.

Field Experience Opportunities

Education students earn real classroom experience during each academic year at Andrew College.  Students participate in directed field experiences at local schools, and on campus.
