Update related to previous probationary accreditation status (June 2025)

The Andrew College Aderhold Division of Nursing has been formally notified of actions taken by the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) at the June 17-18, 2025 Board of Commissioners’ meeting for the Associate Degree in Nursing Program with Pre-licensure Track at Andrew College.

The Board reviewed updated NCLEX reports for I-D in relation to the Program’s Probationary Status. Regarding the Program’s Probationary Status expiring June 30, 2025, the Board has acted to vacate the Program’s Probationary Status effective June 18, 2025.

This decision was made based upon data supporting compliance with the NLN CNEA Standards of Accreditation.

On July 9, 2025, NLN CNEA issued a Show Cause directive, which requires the program to address several areas of non-compliance with NLN CNEA standards.

Important Notes:

  • The program remains fully accredited during this period.
  • The Show Cause directive is not a loss of accreditation but a formal notice that the program must address outlined concerns within a specified timeframe.
  • The College is actively working with NLN CNEA to respond to all cited areas and to ensure continued compliance with all accreditation standards.

The next decision regarding our accreditation status is expected in October 2025.
