The Associate in Literature emphasizes coursework that helps to develop both the writing and critical thinking skills necessary for many career paths, including law, education, journalism, business, and the ministry. In addition to core academic coursework, Literature students are required to complete Speech, two additional literature courses, and a number of fine arts, religion or humanities courses.

Courses within the program expose students to a number of academic areas that not only provide an opportunity to read and discuss great literature, but also provide an important framework that helps students critically examine and evaluate information in context.
