The concentration in Chemistry is designed to prepare students for further study in the sciences by offering foundational coursework in biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics. In addition to core curriculum requirements, students in the Chemistry program will complete Organic Chemistry l and ll, and either General Biology l and ll, Principles of Physics l and ll, or Calculus l and ll.
The Chemistry program is appropriate for students on a variety of career paths, including chemistry, biochemistry, education, health professions, agriculture, and environmental sciences. It can also serve as the first two years of coursework for students who intend to go to medical, veterinary, or pharmacy school.
