The title of Andrew College’s QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) is UPWRITE. UPWRITE stands for Upgrading Programs in Writing and Reading: an Interdisciplinary Transition to Excellence. The purpose of UPWRITE is to enhance students’ writing and reading skills in all disciplines, and the plan uses innovative strategies to help students on all levels improve their literacy abilities. UPWRITE also includes faculty and staff development initiatives, so that professors, tutors, and others on campus will learn best practices for supporting student learning in writing and reading. Through UPWRITE, students will gain the writing and reading competencies they need to be successful in college and in the future.

What is the QEP?

The Quality Enhancement Plan is a component of accreditation reaffirmation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) that focuses on enhancing student learning and/or enhancing the environment supporting student learning. The QEP is a long-term research project/action plan that will be assessed five years after Andrew College’s decennial accreditation reaffirmation evaluation, which occurred during October 2015.
