We get it. College is a major decision and will affect your life forever, so you shouldn't rush into anything. If you're unsure about Andrew College and whether it is the right fit for you, consider this:
Maybe you've heard of us before. We've been around for quite a while — 160 years to be exact. That's right, we've been educating students from around the world since 1854, and we're not going anywhere any time soon. Our accredited degree programs mirror University System of Georgia curriculum, and we're members of the Georgia Independent College Association (GICA). That means our graduates enjoy seamless transitions to places like Auburn University, the University of Alabama, Emory University, the University of Georgia, Georgia Southern University and more.
Not only did we begin educating women women 66 years before they were allowed to vote, we also established one of the first physical education programs in the South. Our student-centric approach to higher education continues to change the lives of graduates, families and communities around the globe, and we constantly strive to train the next generation of thoughtful leaders.
Unlike most four-year colleges and universities, Andrew specializes in the education of freshmen and sophomores. That means student-athletes on our campus have opportunities to take the field as soon as they step foot on campus. You become a member of the Fighting Tiger athletic program on Day 1. Intercollegiate teams include men's baseball, golf and soccer, as well as women's basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball.
The Fighting Tigers compete in Region XVII of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and are members of the Georgia College Athletic Association (GCAA). Our history dates back more than a full century and has seen numerous regional championships, Academic All-American honors, student-athletes drafted into the Major Leagues and placement in countless Division I institutions.
Andrew also offers several intramural and club sports, including cross-country, dodgeball, flag football, tennis and more. Facilities include a newly renovated indoor gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis courts, two fitness centers, an intramural field and an outdoor athletic complex.
Andrew College awards more than $2.1 million in student financial aid each year. This financial aid budget provides relief for ambitious students who choose to begin their college careers at a small, private college.
If you haven't already, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using Andrew College's school code (001545). We'll review any federal aid for which you qualify and work to make your experience here affordable. In addition, we offer several academic and athletic scholarships. Be sure to browse the financial aid section of our website to see if you qualify for any additional funding.
With less than 350 students on campus each semester, our 13:1 student-faculty ratio encourages students to stay connected with their advisors and faculty mentors. These connections provide students a supportive, nurturing environment in which to grow. Every student also has free access to the Student Success Center, a resource which offers professional tutoring, transition planning and career exploration.
With more than 50 disciplines within three degree programs, Andrew provides students a chance to pursue their dreams. Plus, our numerous transfer agreements allow Andrew College graduates to transfer to senior institutions seamlessly.
