Andrew College cooperates with high schools that participate in the Georgia Dual Enrollment (formerly Move on When Ready) program. Students who meet minimum state requirements, have proper authorization from their high school counselor, and parental permission will be considered for admission. Participants in this program will earn college credit as well as high school course credit. Students may elect to enroll on a part-time or full-time basis at Andrew College.

Student Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the Dual Enrollment program at Andrew College, the student must:

  • Attend an Eligible High School in any private or public secondary educational institution within the State of Georgia or any Home Study program operated pursuant to O.C.G.A. §20-2-690.
  • Be enrolled as an 11th or 12th-grade student

  • Complete the application for admission:  APPLY NOW
  • The application fee will be waived for all Dual Enrollment students
  • Request a copy of your official high school transcripts from your counselor
  • Provide the college with a copy of the Dual Enrollment Advisement form or some other proof of high school and parental permission

Admission Criteria

Minimum Admission Requirements for All Dual Enrollment students:

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale in required high school coursework

Additional Admission Requirements for Dual Enrollment students seeking to take math or writing-intensive courses:

English

  • High School GPA of 3.1 or higher
  • An ACT English or Reading score of 17 or higher
  • SAT (new) Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) of 480 or higher
  • Accuplacer Next-Generation Reading score of 237 or higher AND an Accuplacer English score of 237 or higher.

Mathematics

  • High School GPA of 3.4 or higher
  • An ACT Mathematics score of 21 or higher
  • An SAT (new) Math section score of 535 or higher
  • Accuplacer Next-Generation Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics score of 279 or higher

Additional Requirements for full-time student status as a Dual Enrollment program participant:

  • 1120 SAT score (minimum 530 EBRW) or 23 ACT (minimum 24 ACT English score)
  • Interview with the Academic Dean
  • Students who wish to attend full-time and live on campus MUST have at least junior standing and be 16 years of age or older.

Tuition and Fees

State funding provides for the cost of tuition, mandatory fees and books for Dual Enrollment students. Non-mandatory fees (such as residence hall fees) are the responsibility of the student.

Graduate

Dual Enrollment and HOPE

The post-secondary credit hours taken as a Dual Credit Enrollment student, for which Dual Enrollment payment was made, are not counted as Attempted-Hours, nor are they included in the Combined Paid-Hours limit for purposes of HOPE Scholarship or Zell Miller Scholarship eligibility.
