2020-2021 Pitts Scholarship Competitions

Andrew College created the Pitts Scholarship Competition to reward high achieving high school students with the opportunity to compete for our highest academic scholarships. Andrew College will award 2 full tuition, room and board scholarships, several, full tuition scholarships and a number of other academic scholarships to students participating in the Competitions.  All freshmen applicants meeting the eligibility requirements will receive an invitation to attend, provided they complete their application files no later than two weeks before either Competition date.  Students only need to attend one of the two Competition dates.

Friday, February 26, 2021
12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Location: The campus of Andrew College

Eligibility: Entering freshmen (students having college credit through a dual enrollment/joint enrollment program are still eligible)

Qualifications:

  • Admission to Andrew College at least 2 weeks before the selected competition date
  • 3.0 or higher GPA in a college preparatory curriculum

To complete the admission process, the following materials must be submitted by 2 weeks prior to the competition date you wish to attend:

  • Admission application
  • Official transcripts
  • Standardized test scores (optional)
  • Official college transcripts from any dual enrollment/joint enrollment coursework

Fine Arts Scholarship Audition Day

The date of the Fine Arts Scholarship Day for 2020-2021 will be set by December 1.  Please see important information below regarding the virtual scholarship audition option for this year:

Auditions/Presentations:

  1. Theatre and Music Auditions may be done through Zoom.
  2. Visual Arts portfolio presentations may be done through Zoom.
  3. Students in Theatre and Music may, as an alternative, elect to record their auditions and send them to the appropriate professor via their e-mail address below.   These auditions should follow the guidelines provided on the website (music) or the appropriate attachment for the other areas:

  1. Visual Arts students may elect to send an electronic portfolio to our art professor via the e-mail address below.

 

Audition Dates and Times

  1. Students should contact the professors directly to schedule an audition day and time.
  2. Auditions may be scheduled throughout the month of April, with all auditions completed/submitted by no later than April 23.
  3. Students may elect to audition in multiple areas if they wish but may only receive one scholarship.

 

Scheduling an Audition/Presentation

 

  1. All students auditioning or presenting their portfolio must be accepted by Andrew College in order to receive a scholarship offer.  Ideally this should be done prior to the student’s audition date, but definitely no later than April 23.
  2. Students should contact the appropriate professor as soon as possible to schedule a date and time:
