Submission Guidelines

We are currently accepting submissions of unpublished prose, poetry, and visual art for the 2026 issue of Spire Light: A Journal of Creative Expression.

Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere.

There is no fee to submit, and all contributors residing in the U.S. will receive a print copy of the journal. International contributors will receive a PDF file.

Submission Requirements

PROSE

Up to 4000 words
Either fiction or creative non-fiction sought
Submissions must be double-spaced in 12 point Times New Roman font
Upload as a Docx file

POETRY

Up to three poems may be submitted
Most submissions should be single-spaced unless otherwise noted as an artistic choice to double space.

VISUAL ART

Visual art, including but not limited to photography or images of paintings and drawings, should be submitted as a high-resolution JPEG file.
Comics may take up to three pages but should also be submitted as a high-resolution JPEG file.
