CUTHBERT, Ga. (August 31, 2026) – Andrew College has once again set an all-time enrollment record, welcoming 710 students for the Fall 2026 semester, the largest student body in the College’s 172-year history.

The new record represents an 18% increase over Fall 2025, when Andrew enrolled a then-record 602 students. Since Fall 2022, when enrollment stood at 247 students, Andrew College has grown by 187%, adding 463 students in just four years and nearly tripling its student body.

“Reaching 710 students is an extraordinary milestone for Andrew College, but what excites me most is that this isn’t the result of one exceptional year,” said Dr. William R. Kennedy, President of Andrew College. “We have now experienced several consecutive years of significant growth. Students and families are responding to the opportunities we are creating here, and our faculty and staff have worked incredibly hard to make that growth possible.”

Andrew’s Fall 2026 student body includes students from 27 states, with approximately 60% coming from Georgia. The College also continues to serve a significant population of first-generation and Pell Grant-eligible students, reinforcing Andrew’s historic commitment to expanding access to higher education.

The record enrollment comes during a period of significant transformation at Andrew College. Over the past several years, the College has expanded its bachelor’s degree offerings, added new athletic programs, invested in campus improvements, and continued expanding residential capacity, campus ministry, and student services. Fall 2026 also marks Andrew College’s transition into the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC), providing new opportunities for student-athletes and strengthening the College’s ability to recruit students throughout Georgia, the Southeast, and beyond.

“Our growth has been intentional,” Kennedy said. “We have focused on creating programs students want, expanding opportunities for them to compete and participate, improving the campus experience, and staying true to the personal attention that has always defined an Andrew College education. Growth matters, but the experience we provide our students matters even more.”

Andrew College’s enrollment growth has been particularly significant given the challenges facing small private colleges nationwide. While many institutions are confronting demographic pressures and increased competition for a shrinking traditional college-age population, Andrew has expanded its reach by developing new academic programs, strengthening athletics, growing its residential population, and increasing recruitment beyond its traditional Southwest Georgia service area.

Demand for the residential experience has grown alongside overall enrollment. Andrew College is housing 445 students on campus this fall, an increase of 6% from Fall 2025. The College has continued to invest in residential facilities and to expand housing capacity to accommodate its growing student population.

President Kennedy said the College is already looking beyond the latest record.

“Four years ago, Andrew College enrolled 247 students. Today, we serve 710,” Kennedy said. “That transformation shows what is possible when an institution knows who it is, understands the students and communities it serves, and is willing to adapt and grow. We are incredibly proud of how far Andrew has come, but we also believe our best days are still ahead.”
