Built in 1967, Pitts Library is named in honor of Margaret Pitts and in memory of her parents, W.I.H. and Lula Ellison Pitts, all benefactors of Andrew College. Pitts Library houses a dymanic collection to support both teaching and learning. Pitts Library is an extensive gateway to periodicals, databases, films, internet resources, and other research information. The library not only contains more than 35,000 volumes, it houses circulation resources, reserve reading, reference materials, newspapers, audio-visual items, as well as computer access to the Andrew College library collection via AndyCat, GALILEO (Georgia Library Learning Online),Films on Demand and the Internet. The Andrew College Archives, a repository of information pertaining to the history of Andrew College and Randolph County, is located in the Pitts Library building. Computer Facilities Pitts Library offers research computer and printing facilities to students. WiFi is available in the Library. PT3 Lab is open Monday through Thursday 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Andy Cat Cafe Coffee is available when the library is open. |
