The Lady Tigers compete in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the very competitive Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) /Region XVII. In addition to the challenging conference schedule, the Lady Tigers play a tough non-conference schedule against top programs across the southeast. The Andrew College Women’s basketball program has grown stronger each year since it was reintroduced in the fall of 2006. Last year’s team set the school record for conference wins and missed the Region XVII Tournament by a single game, on the last day of the season. Enthusiasm is high for next season, with several starters returning and an influx of new talent in the 2014 recruiting class.
At Andrew College, basketball players have an opportunity to step in and contribute immediately, rather than having to wait their turn behind juniors and seniors. Because of the small size of the college, players will receive more individualized attention from their professors and have the opportunity to become more involved on campus that at a larger college.
Coach Paradise has a sound knowledge of game and knows the physical and mental conditioning it takes to be both a winner on the court and in the classroom. Andrew College is dedicated to providing students with a quality academic experience, with well-regarded faculty and advisors, free tutoring, helpful workshops, and required athletic study halls.
