Hello and welcome to the Andrew College Virtual Tiger Tour Preview Day! Although nothing can match the feel of actually being on our beautiful campus in person, we hope that today gives you a sense of Andrew College and what we have to offer. You will notice that several areas of the page have times listed. These are for our live sessions. If you are watching this after the actual live event has concluded, please note that we’ll be updating these links with other information in the next few weeks.

We invite you to get to know Andrew College. We are currently welcoming families to campus for tours. If you’d like to schedule an in-person tour, please e-mail admissions@andrewcollege.edu.

We will be holding a number of in-person Tiger Tour Preview Days this spring, with the next one on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

If you’d feel more comfortable remaining in a virtual setting, we also host General Information sessions Monday-Thursday at 4:00 pm and on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm.

Preview Day Overview

I want to welcome you to our Virtual Preview Day. If you are watching this from 11-12 on Saturday, toward the bottom of the page you will see a number of live events that we have scheduled.

From 11-12, we’ll have an Admission Zoom Room available, so if you do have questions, you can just log in and we’ll have admission counselors there to help you. Beginning at 11 this morning, we’ll have a live student panel where you can ask questions of Andrew College students and get their opinions on everything from food to classes and everywhere in between.

Also, from 11:30-12:00 today are our faculty/staff information sessions. So if you have a particular major you are interested in or you’re interested in athletics or need some more information about financial aid, feel free to come into that session. We’ll take you where you want to go and you can ask your questions.

Now, if you are watching this after Preview Day, you won’t see some of those things. However, we will replace the live event links with other features that you may want to come in and check out.

A couple of the recorded features should be very useful for you:

The first is our financial aid workshop. We’ve broken it into three different sessions, each about ten minutes each. It makes it a bit easier to watch than one big thirty minute segment.

We also have a campus tour. Unfortunately, we aren’t able to do an entire campus tour so we selected six buildings and six areas that we felt were representative of the college, just to give you a taste of what Andrew College is like.

So, we welcome you today. We’re glad you’re here and hope you enjoy the day. If you would like to attend a general information session with one of our admission counselors, we do those Monday through Thursday at 4:00 o’clock and on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm. If you go to the front page of the website where it says Tiger Tour Preview Days and General Information Sessions, click there and then find the correct information session and click there.

Meet The President

Good morning and welcome to Andrew College. My name is Linda Buchanan and I am the very proud President of Andrew.

Thank you for taking the time today to come visit with us and discover all of the things that Andrew has to offer. As we begin our 167th year of service to southwest Georgia and beyond, we are delighted that you are taking the time, whether a virtual welcome or, hopefully soon, a face to face welcome. We’re just delighted that you are here with us today this Saturday.

Whether it’s our academic programs, or perhaps it’s a sport that a coach has contacted you about that you might be interested in playing here, we hope to see you on campus soon. Stay safe, be well. We hope to see you soon at Andrew College. Welcome.

For example, in the past three (3) years, we have added seven (7) brand new degree programs including the 1st Baccalaureate program in one hundred (100) years; that is our Bachelor’s Degree in Business. We are adding a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, which will be effective in the fall of 2021, which means for you an entering student, you can seamlessly go right into that 4-year degree if you want to teach at the elementary education level. Of course, we’ve added nursing and respiratory therapy. What more important and relevant degree programs could we possibly offer than these two professional programs during this challenging health care environment.

We want you to take full advantage of all the things we have to offer here at Andrew, whether it’s moving our fine arts departments to downtown in our beautiful historic square, which we welcome you at some point to come visit. Our beautiful campus, with our very human-scale environment, that’s fun or any of our student-athletic opportunities here with our intercollegiate athletic teams.

So we bid you welcome! WE are glad that you are virtually here with us, and we hope that your experience today here at Andrew College is a very positive one. I look forward to meeting you on campus!
