The Associate of Science in Pre-Health Professional Degree at Andrew College will prepare the student to enter a healthcare occupation or qualify as an applicant for a healthcare career program. While pursuing this degree, the student will explore the possible healthcare career options as well as narrow down the area of healthcare they would like pursue when they complete this associate level degree.
This program is designed to assist in the exploration of, preparation for, and application to professional healthcare programs. The Pre-Health advisers work with the students seeking graduate and professional level programs including (but not limited to): Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and Radiologic Science.
The student graduates of this program could enter a healthcare occupation. A Pre-Health Professional Degree is general in nature, but may help the graduate qualify for some support occupations in healthcare. This degree could make the graduate a more attractive candidate for a position as a medical assistant, dental assistant, or phlebotomist.
