Assistant Professor of Biology/Health Education
Phillip Latimer is the Division Coordinator of the Math/Science Department, Assistant Professor of Biology and the Director of Athletic Safety and Therapy. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Georgia with a B.S in Biology and a 2010 graduate of Life University, obtaining a Doctorate in Chiropractic. After successfully passing all 4 NBCE exams, he earned his Chiropractic license through the State of Georgia. He teaches Anatomy & Physiology 1 and 2 along with Sports Nutrition and Injury Prevention & Treatment. One of his passions in life involves how diet, anatomical structure and rest affect function of the human body. He loves sharing this knowledge with students, helping them learn and works towards making the classroom environment fun, engaging and challenging.
Prior to coming to Andrew in 2012, Dr. Latimer worked at Wellsource Chiropractic and Rehab in Tucker, Ga. Originally from Columbus, Ga., Dr. Latimer began his collegiate career at Andrew College playing first base for the Fighting Tigers baseball team. He credits those two years at Andrew for getting him off to a strong start academically, enabling him to pursue his further education.
