Rachael Kenworthy, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Biology
Dr. Rachael Kenworthy is originally from South Carolina. There she earned a Bachelor of Science in Professional Biology at Charleston Southern University. She then moved to Tallahassee, Florida to earn her Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology at Florida State University where she studied Hepatitis C Virus. After completing her Ph.D. she joined the FSU Chemistry Department as a Postdoctoral Researcher studying drug resistance mechanisms in cancer. In Fall of 2015 Dr. Kenworthy joined the Andrew College faculty.
In addition to her scholarly pursuits, Dr. Kenworthy also makes several fermented foods and beverages, and makes pottery.
