Jeffery Jackson Named to NJCAA Athletes of Distinction Award List

Jeffery Jackson, an outfielder for the Tigers the past two years, has received an NJCAA Award for Exemplary Academic Achievement, one of the 3 awards that the NJCAA uses to recognize sophomore scholar athletes.  Jackson posted a 3.79 GPA in his 2 years at Andrew, won a prestigious Andy Award for Leadership at Honors Day, served as SGA President during his sophomore year, and was a founding member of the Andrew College Digital Network (ACDN). He will continue his playing career at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Michael Warren wins Gold Glove for Center fieldAndrew College Baseball

Michael Warren was recently announced as the 2015 Gold Glove defensive award winner in centerfield for the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association. Michael just finished up his freshman season at Andrew College with stellar play in centerfield and controlled our outfield defense. Defensively Michael had zero errors on the year with 126 total chances, 121 putouts, and 5 assist on the season.  Warren started every game of the season for Andrew College in centerfield. The conference only selects 3 outfielders for this defensive award and you may find the completed Gold Glove defensive award winners on the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Conference website

In addition to the GCAA Gold Glove Award, Warren was also voted to the East Central All District Gold Glove team. The east Central District contains all the Georgia and Tennessee NJCAA members.

Jesse King named NJCAA Div. I Pitcher of the Week

Andrew College Baseball

With a stellar week against Gordon State College, Jesse King was named NJCAA Div. I Pitcher of the Week. King was 2-0 out of the bullpen, with 8 strikeouts in 7 innings pitched, allowing only 4 hits.
