STUDENT SPOTLIGHTS

Kyle Johnson
Eufaula, Alabama
Major: Pre-Engineering

Kyle is admirably known as "rabbit" on campus. He is on the Fighting Tigers soccer team and is VP of the Student Government Association Upon graduation, Kyle plans to attend Auburn University and earn his bachelor's degree in engineering. "I definitely made the right decision to begin my collegiate career at Andrew. The people here are unique and interesting, and I feel fortunate to have established so many friendships during my time on campus."

Joy Rosser
Marietta, Georgia
Major: Education

Joy keeps herself pretty busy. She is involved in Baptist Student Union, Choraliers, AndrewServes, Phi Theta Kappa, Ambassadors, Unity, and the Gospel Choir. "Coming to Cuthbert from such a big city was culture shock at first. Everybody here is always waving to each other and people go out of their way to speak to you - that just doesn't happen as much in a big city. I fell in love with the campus and the people here in a very short period of time. I can honestly say that the people here care about my success and I know that I am much more than just another statistic."

Kathryn Atwater
Pace, Florida
Major: Communication Arts

As the captain of the Lady Tigers soccer team, Kathryn knows a thing or two about leadership. This season, she finished as one the top scorers in the region and she wants to continue playing soccer at her transfer institution. "The opportunity to be a student-athlete has taught me a great deal. I've had to learn how to balance soccer with my studies, and still find time to hang out with friends. These are the types of life-skills that I'm thankful I've built during my first two years of college."

Pablo Sanchez
Tegucigalpa, Honduras
Major: Business Administration

As a member of AndrewServes, the soccer team, and the International Students Association, Pablo has taken every opportunity to immerse himself in American culture. "I would tell any international student that Andrew is an excellent place to begin college. The small atmosphere was helpful as I became acquainted with American culture and developed a firm grasp of the English language. All of the professors and staff members are willing to go the extra mile to help you out. They have really made my college experience one that I will treasure for a lifetime."

Shelton Beckham
Dover, Delaware
Major: Psychology

The opportunity to play collegiate baseball brought Shelton to Andrew all the way from Delaware. "I really didn't know what to expect when I first arrived on campus, but you get to know everyone pretty quickly. Andrew's size is the greatest thing about the place to me. I didn't want to attend a school where people didn't know me and where I was just another number in a class of 200 people. That is certainly not the case at Andrew, and I'm glad I made the decision to come here."

Krystin Mills
Shalimar, Florida
Major: Business Administration

Krystin is an Andrew Ambassador and is a second-year soccer player. She helps with campus tours and meets with prospective students during Visitation Days. She also lead the region in assists this past soccer season and finished in the top 20 in the nation in points scored. "Being a part of a winning soccer team at the collegiate level has been a great experience. But the things that I'll remember most about Andrew are the great friendships and all of my professors. I wouldn't trade my time at Andrew for anything."
