Rachel West, a pitcher from Bryan County High School in Pembroke , Ga. , has been awarded a scholarship to play softball for Andrew College. She will also run cross country for the Tigers. Rachel is the daughter of William and Sharon West of Pembroke.

She played softball all four years at Bryan County and also runs track. Rachel is a member of the Prayer Club, Who’s Who, and First Baptist Church of Pembroke. She has never missed a day of high school and is excited about signing with Andrew. “It’s great to be playing softball at the next level,” West said. “ Andrew College is a good college in a small town.”

“I really expect Rachel to step in and contribute immediately to our softball and cross country programs,” P.D. Anglea, Andrew’s Head Softball and Cross Country Coach, said. “Rachel has an outstanding work ethic and she is certainly a great addition to our campus.”
