EXAMPLES OF PT3 ACTIVITIES
- Andrew College sponors southwest Georgia math consortium. Click here to see photos.
- Tech Tykes Program. This program was designed by Andrew College education students and offered to second graders using wireless technology lab.
- 21st Century After-School Program. The PT3 program was instrumental in designing an after school center at he College that focuses on technology projects for parents of pre-school and elementary students from the local school system. PT3 staff and education students work with teachers in the program to infuse technology in lesson plans.
- Paraprofessional Training. Instruction in technology integration in the classroom is offered to area paraprofessionals.
An integral part of the PT3 grant is to share new instructional technology strategies and programs with other PT3 institutions. Andrew College participated in two such collaborative exchanges—one was a virtual collaborative exchange with Columbus State University and the other was an on-site visit to Collin Community College in Texas. Andrew College and Columbus State University co-hosted an exchange in 2003 at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
