Andrew's golf team earns top honors in season opener
Andrew College’s golf team placed first in the Thomas University Spring Invitational Golf Tournament at
Bagby
State Park
on February 19-20. The Tigers were down seven strokes after the Saturday’s round, but rallied on Sunday to win the tournament by two strokes.

Two Andrew golfers also earned individual honors. Evan Scanlan, a sophomore from
Peachtree City
,
Ga.
, was the low-scorer during the tournament. Matt Long, a sophomore from
Savannah
,
Ga.
, finished the tournament with the third best individual score.
“This is a great way to start the season,” Jimmy Gilbert, Athletic Director, said. “Winning this tournament will give us some momentum and confidence. I expect that we will only play better as the season progresses.”
