Educational Talent Search
Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded program designed to provide educational guidance to middle and high school students who have the potential to succeed in college or in a vocational/technical school. Andrew College's Talent Search Program services students in Calhoun, Clay, Early, Quitman, Randolph, and Stewart counties.
Services provided by Talent Search include:
Academic and Career Advising - Middle school students are given career interest inventories and the results are used to advise and assist them in choosing appropriate pre-college courses as they register for high school courses.
College Preparation - Students are made aware of college admission requirements; SAT classes and application and financial aid workshops are offered.
Career Awareness - Participants are taken on field trips to learn the educational requirements, job possibilities and salary structure at different industries.
Cultural and Educational Awareness - Participants are given the opportunity to visit colleges and universities; they attend production of plays; they visit theaters and other historical and educational sites.

To qualify for Educational Talent Search, students must be:
- A first generation college student (neither parent has a four-year college degree)
- Income-eligible (income of $33,075 or less for a family of four)
- In grades 6 – 12
- A high school or college drop-out
- A citizen of the United States
- Have a potential for academic success
