Andrew College offers an intensive ESL Program that spans from one to two semesters depending on need. It is designed for the Foreign Language learner who wants to acquire English proficiency. Because Andrew College is a small, residential two-year college related to The United Methodist Church, its mission is to provide an academically challenging liberal arts curriculum within a nurturing community.
In addition, the student to teacher ratio is approximately 5:1 for the ESL program. So, much attention is offered to each student. The program includes the components of English Grammar and Composition, Reading, Phonology, Listening, Oral Communication and American Culture. With the exception of the American Culture course, these classes meet daily.
Andrew College offers a very supportive program with free tutors, free email, and on-campus housing (no TOEFL required). Assessment of skill-level will be administered upon arrival and students will be placed into one of three levels of ability.
