Former Tigers make Division I Debut’s
The Division I baseball season opened up Friday. By Saturday night 3 of the 4 Tigers on Division I rosters had made their debut. Josh Carr (Kennesaw State), Jeremy Gazerro (Georgia State), and Rod Scruggs (Presbyterian) all saw action out of their respective bullpens. Carr, who transferred after only season in Cuthbert, is currently in the bullpen as a true sophomore at Kennesaw. Both Gazerro and Scruggs spent two seasons with the Tigers before extending their careers elsewhere. Carr got his action at home versus Liberty University and Gazerro got his toes wet at (#9) Florida State. Scruggs, who had the best debut, downed 3 of the 4 Appalachian State batters he faced without surrendering a run. Drew Garren, who is on Savannah State’s roster, is looking forward to his first action.
