AndrewServes Provides Thanksgiving Meal for families in need

AndrewServes students diligently raised canned foods and non-perishable goods to provide a Thanksgiving feast for the families that are currently living in the Millennium Center. The Millennium Center is a drug and rehabilitation center for women and their children, which is located right in Cuthbert. Students placed fliers to promote the food drive and also decorated food collection boxes which were then placed throughout campus. The AndrewServes students also had bake sales on campus during college events to raise additional money to buy items that were still needed. Between collecting food and the fundraiser donations, the students were able to not only buy food for Thanksgiving, but also able to provide a game for their activity center. The servant leaders who lead this charitable project were freshman Jemiya Wright, freshman Joshua Lewis, and sophomore Charles Foster, Jr. Each AndrewServes student is required to work on a year-long project. The AndrewServes program continues to help students to discover their leadership abilities while making a difference in the community.
