2008 FALL RETREAT
The weekend of August 14-15th brought together the incoming freshman class and the rising sophomores for a retreat in a cabin near Bagby State Park. The AndrewServes freshman and sophomores will be working together throughout the year on both academic and volunteer activities. The freshmen and sophomores spent the evening coming together as a team, getting to know one another, and doing activities to build their leadership skills. Sophomores guided the freshman through activities they had chosen to lead, and ended the day of activities with a scavenger hunt in which the students kept the items they found. The evening included a Hawaiian themed cookout and an AndrewServes tradition of playing Hide-and-Seek in the dark. On Saturday the students enjoyed a wholesome breakfast cooked by Mrs. Torbert and spent quality time getting to know their classmates and Mrs. Torbert and Mrs. Krum better. We look forward to another year filled with success!
